DISTANCE
TRAINING
Build the Mind. Train the Body.
Distance running is about more than miles and race results. Through consistent training, meaningful challenges, and a supportive team environment, athletes learn to trust the process, develop confidence, and discover what they are capable of becoming.
RESULTS FOLLOW THE PROCESS.
An accomplished distance runner and coach, Dey brings a unique perspective shaped by both his own competitive experience and years of athlete development. He continues to train year-round, bringing the same discipline, consistency, and commitment to his own running that he encourages in the athletes he coaches.
As the Varsity and JV Distance Coach at John Jay High School, Dey has helped athletes and teams earn sectional championships, state-level recognition, course records, and individual honors while fostering a culture built on trust, consistency, and accountability.
